The Australian Skills Quality Authority will undertake a strategic review of the entry-level occupational health and safety training required to work on construction sites in Australia, commonly known as the White Card.
There has been wide spread concern regarding the quality of the training and assessment provided by some registered training organisations (RTOs) offering the White Card training program.
Advance OHS has raised many concerns with WorkCover NSW regarding online “White Card” courses and welcomes this review. Since the harmonisation of WHS Laws there has been an influx of online “White Card” providers some of whom provide courses over a very short time frame.
