WHS RISK MANAGEMENT FOR SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS

Supervisors and Managers have WHS responsibilities within the workplace which includes making decisions about health and safety, ensuring legal requirements regarding health and safety are met and ensuring safe work practices. These responsibilities are embedded in the safety management system of the organisation.

 

This course aims to familiarise participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principles of risk management as an integral part of an effective Work Health and Safety Management System. It will also assist supervisors and managers to effectively manage health and safety in their area of responsibility.

 

This training is suitable for Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Team leaders.

 

This course can be completed onsite at your premises or online.

  • Explain Work health and safety legislation framework in Australia.
  • Describe duty holders, due diligence & responsibilities.
  • Understand WHS management system and its elements.
  • Explain the consultation, representation and participation requirements under the WHS Act.
  • Apply risk management process.
  • Understand requirements for notifiable incidents, incident investigation and workers’ compensation.
