Health and Safety Representative Courses are specific to the state and jurisdiction you work in. If you work for a Federal Agency such as Services Australia, ATO or ANSTO etc you must complete the Commonwealth (Comcare) Course. If your organisation is insured under federal government worker’s compensation scheme, you may also be required to complete the Commonwealth (Comcare).

Step 2: Select the course

• HSR Initial Course: If you are a newly elected HSR choose HSR Initial Course. This is the course all newly elected HSRs are required to complete. The course is 5 days usually running over 2 weeks.
• HSR Refresher Course: If you have already completed the HSR initial course, you are entitled to complete the HSR Refresher course 12 months after completing the HSR Initial Course.
