What You Need to Bring

100 Points of ID

Must include photo, signature, DOB, and current address.

USI Number

Required to receive your qualification.

PPE (Zoom only)

Hard hat, hi-vis vest, ear & eye protection.

ID REQUIREMENTS

You must fulfil the 100 points identification requirements prior to attending this course. For information on the Identification requirements please refer to the Evidence of Identity Form. Please complete section 1 and 2 (if appropriate) of the Evidence of Identity Form prior to the course. If you’re unable to print the form, a copy will be provided to you on the day.

IMMI card holder please contact our office prior to making your booking.

Failure to provide 100 points of identification on the day will result in rebooking fee.

USI (Unique Student Identifier)

As your are undertaking nationally recognised training, you need a USI in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment. If you don’t have a USI you will not receive your qualification or statement of attainment. Please apply for your USI prior to attending the course here.

For Zoom Participants

As a requirement to to complete the course remotely via Zoom. You must have a reliable internet connection, PC/Laptop or Mobile device with working camera, speaker and mic.

You must also have the following PPE on the day:

  • Hard hat
  • Safety Goggles
  • Safety Vest
  • Ear protection – ear plugs or ear muffs

The above PPE can be supplied for an additional $50 including postage cost (within Sydney Metro, additional cost may apply for regional areas)

Language Requirements

You are expected to be able to recognise numbers, verbally communicate basic safety information and follow basic safety information in English. If your require assistance please contact our staff prior to enrolment. Following enrolment you will be provided with a simple language assessment to determine if this course is appropriate to your language and literacy level.

A White Card is mandatory for anyone who works on, or enters, a construction site in NSW. This includes workers, supervisors, apprentices, labourers, and site visitors performing construction-related tasks.

Yes. The NSW Construction Induction (White Card) is nationally recognised and valid in all Australian states and territories, provided it is issued by an authorised Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Advance OHS is a registered training organisation RTO 91534.

The White Card course provides essential knowledge to safely enter a construction site, including hazard identification, risk control, legal responsibilities, and emergency procedures in line with NSW WHS legislation.

The course covers:

  1. WHS laws and duties of workers and employers

  2. Identifying common construction hazards

  3. Risk management and control measures

  4. Safe work practices and PPE

  5. Incident reporting and emergency procedures

  6. Site safety signage and communication

Yes. In NSW, White Card training can be completed online via real-time virtual delivery or face-to-face, provided identity verification and participation requirements are met in accordance with SafeWork NSW rules.

Most participants complete the course in one day. A Statement of Attainment is issued upon successful completion, with the physical White Card posted shortly after sent by SafeWork NSW. You will also receive a temporary certificate so you can commence work on the construction site immediately. 

Yes. This course meets the requirements of CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry and is delivered in line with SafeWork NSW and national WHS standards.
