This approved WorkCover course is designed for those who had completed the 5 Day Initial Health and Safety Representatives Course. Managers and supervisors can also attend the HSR Refresher course to gain the skill and knowledge required for consultation under WHS Act.
For the purposes of section 72 (1) of the Act, a health and safety representative is entitled to attend the following courses of training in work health and safety:
(a) an initial course of training of 5 days,
(b) 1 day’s refresher training each year, with the entitlement to the first refresher training commencing 1 year after the initial training.
Upon successful completion of the course HSRs will receive SafeWork NSW Statement of Training.
Managers, Supervisors or Non HSRs will be issued with a certificate of attendance.
