This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course is suitable for those students requiring workplace first aid skills.
COURSE CONTENT
- Assess casualty and identify injuries, illnesses andconditions.
- Apply first aid procedures.
- Communicate details of the incident.
- First aid management of situations such as abdominal injuries, burns, fractures etc.
You will be required to complete a workbook online prior to the course.
CERTIFICATION
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment:
- HLTFA311A Apply first aid.
- HLTCPR211A Perform CPR.
- HLTFA211A Provide basic emergency life support.
ID REQUIREMENTS
You must provide identification containing your name, photo and signature prior to course commencement.
